“Unfortunately some countries which themselves have dictatorial regimes are in unison with the US to topple the Syrian government and are trying to confiscate the Islamic Awakening movement,” Ahmadi-Moqaddam noted on Thursday.
He added that those who oppose the Bashar al-Assad government are either mercenaries or deceived agents, noting that nobody can create an Islamic movement using the money and arms provided by the United States and the Zionist regime.
“Terrorist events in Syria represent enemies’ efforts to swerve the Islamic Awakening and confiscate massive popular movements; but they should know that they will never succeed to do this,” the police chief said.
“What happens in Syria is savagery and terrorism done by some mercenaries who receive money and weapons from the US and Israel,” Ahmadi-Moqaddam noted.

Damascus blames the chaos on outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists funded and instructed by elements outside the country.
